Cameron Nursing & Rehab opened June 5, 1995 as a modern replacement facility for Cameron Nursing Home.
Owner and operator of Cameron Nursing & Rehab is Cam-Col Partnership comprised of James D. Camp and Dr. Sidney H. Richardson of Cameron. Camp and Richardson have a long history of nursing home management being in the business since 1968. Mr. Camp, a licensed nursing home administrator and entrepreneur, has also worked in the risk management, insurance and real estate business. He has always been active in the business community and serves as a board member of the Cameron Industrial Development Corporation, the Cameron Industrial Foundation, First National Bank and First United Methodist Church. Dr. Richardson has dedicated himself to the health of Cameron as a practicing physician. He also serves as the Cameron Nursing Center medical director.
Cameron Nursing & Rehab, licensed for 104 beds, is an intermediate care facility that accepts both Medicaid and private care residents. The facility has sixteen private rooms with half baths and 44 semi-private rooms, also with half baths.
Cameron Nursing & Rehab provides licensed nursing care around the clock. The Cameron Nursing Center is very proud of their licensed and certified nursing staff. Our nursing staff consists of a variety of people bringing years of experience in Long Term Care.
Cameron Nursing & Rehab also employs experienced and dedicated housekeeping, dietary and laundry staff, who work to complete the team that provides the best care possible for each of their residents.
Our activity department strives to provide a warm and friendly atmosphere for residents by furnishing activities for every day of the week and some evenings. Family and friends are encouraged to visit. Pets are also welcome to visit residents at the facility. Barber and beauty shop services are also available each week on Monday and on Tuesday, as needed.
We have a staff that represents stability and tenure. A large number of the employees have worked for the nursing center, for more than 10 years. Quality care through experienced nursing is the goal of this facility and staff. Our motto is, “Where Caring Counts”.
